BREW starts March 23 as a three-month, privacy-focused program. From zero-knowledge proofs to confidential compute, bringing together people who want to seriously explore and experiment with privacy technologies.

Do not hesitate if you do not consider yourself an expert or think you lack the right background. The program is designed to introduce different privacy technologies in a hands-on way. Curiosity and a willingness to experiment matter more than prior expertise.

Our Partners in Space

BREW doesn't exist in isolation and we are happy to introduce you to some of our local partners who are opening their doors and offering office space throughout the program:

  • The Ethereum Foundation, almost no need for an introduction. But did you know the core team launched the Ethereum network from their Berlin office in 2015?
  • Unit 8, a software studio made by Berliners, focused on emerging technologies since 2010.
  • A new space by the ZuBerlin team at Paul-Lincke-Ufer, combining café, coworking, and sauna/spa. Still in stealth, opening soon!

All in Kreuzberg, the heart of Berlin’s blockchain scene.

From Berlin, to the World

BREW is local-first, with all our sessions recorded and shared digitally.

We deliberately chose a local-first approach as we believe bringing people physically together enables serendipity and spontaneous experiments that can evolve into real collaborations. Berlin itself adds another layer to this, as the city is a fertile ground for drawing in people from all over the world because of its culture of critical thinking and experimentation.

Lastly, we believe it is important to be realistic about people's time and ability. That is why BREW is structured with one core session every two weeks, designed to make participation compatible with ongoing work and personal commitments.

Save the Date: BREW Conference - June 20

Last but not least, BREW Conference will take place on June 20, during Berlin Blockchain Week. The Berlin Blockchain Week 2026 takes place June 13 - June 21, so mark your calendars.

The conference will be a full day dedicated to privacy tech and marks the closing of the builder program. It draws the wider community into focused conversations and exploration of privacy technologies. We welcome collaborations, sponsorships, and volunteers who want to support and shape the conference.

More details about the conference will follow. In the meantime, enjoy Berlin’s warmer days, and do not forget to apply to the builder program.
